Mr. Gourmet Guy
I like the sounds in this game. But not all of them I find fitting. I'd like to make my own mod, but I've never ever done such thing before. Could someone please help me? All I want to do is replace the sounds I want, without changing anything else. Ultroman
There's a Custom Sound Tutorial. It focuses on changing character voices, but the same concept can be used for just about any sound in the game. You just gotta find out the correct path to the sound you want to change, which can be difficult for find.
Thomas Die
i think if you wanna change the animal noises you can do that with the stategraphs
Ultroman
Just now, thomas4845 said: i think if you wanna change the animal noises you can do that with the stategraphs How do you reckon? And why would you need to change the stategraphs? Wouldn't remapping the sounds be enough if you just want to change it to a custom sound?
Thomas Die
eh i'm no pro at this but usually when i look at the state graphs it usually controls the sound that the mob produces ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but i guess remapping would be more easier i just haven't got the hang of it myself
Ultroman
Overwriting a stategraph tunction just to replace the path of the sound it should play is only viable if you want to change it to play another sound that's already in the game. And even then, I think I'd still prefer to extract the sound and remap it. But then, I'm a stickler for doing things as unintrusively as possible (though I'm no expert, so I don't know the best ways to do many things).
