greenlaien7 Posted July 25, 2019 Share Posted July 25, 2019 I just downloaded DST and start playing it then I saw that i can open the return of them BETA so i did all well and good until i made a normal DST world whit a friend we played for a while then we disconected then i've tried to open the beta again but when i open the game it gives me this Fatal Error Steam must be running to play this game (SteamAPI_Init0 failed) I have tried to uninstall the game, to restart Steam and restarting my computer in more then one ocasion but i still get that error but when i dont have the BETA active I can open the game whit no problem. Pelontriques Posted July 28, 2019 Share Posted July 28, 2019 yeah, i actually get this with my normal computer. there's literally nothing you can do to actually help it and is more towards a steam error. you might be able to restart your computer and have a go at booting DST again, but it might not work.
