Obviously not from every fight, some people are there to kill you and you have nowhere to run. But if, say, I am trying to beat someone up so that they pay some debt and I decide the fight is not going my way, it makes no sense that they won't stop fighting until I am dead. Fleeing shouldn't be "free", the way conceding a negotiation is, but it should be *possible*, at least most of the time.
