OxCD Posted July 4, 2019 Share Posted July 4, 2019 I don't get the point for boulder to be made of obsidian. I've already talked about this but I do create this topic because I firmly think this could be improved. As it is, it's just something you still can clean, it will just need a skilled digger, and a bit more time than if it was a mixed biome. Then, you gain something pretty useless, as obsidian is not the most used rock. (Mainly for hot t° insulation / containment. From my experience, I've never run out of obisidan, even after 2400 cycles, 5 rockets, 2 volcano cooking setups. And rockets can still bring me more). There's also not that much point to let it in place as it's not a good insulator. And it's heat resistance is useless into the underworld without a volcano. I would suggest to make those out of neutronium. Then 2 ways could result : or the neutronium makes things harder as it disturbs your building expansion, or neutronium could help to create partial perfect insulated zone (or both, of course). You can even make those boulder look more interesting (and less visually linear), by adding some magma, water, liquid chlorine, or any colored stuff on the inside (completely surronded by neutro). That could bring some beautiful untouchable colours ! One point more : this will just need some attention as it could completely close a map area, if too much boulder are close to each other (I would say 3 if those remains spheric) or if it's too close to map border (sides or bottom). This would need some free tile, at least to allow a ladder to sneak up. Thanks for this consideration !
