I was surprised it wasn't already a feature as desert stones are clearly impure orange gems and should contribute to their magic (lazy deserter is an example). Plus, there is great surplus of desert stones after just first few summers that don't really have a use as you've already placed lazy deserters at all good locations in the world. Otherwise orange gems would become useless, since getting desert stones is much easier. Still, it is a feature I'd like to see. I might actualy not be completly paranoid of wasting telepoofs or using the amulet at all.
