Denisetwin Posted February 11, 2019 Share Posted February 11, 2019 I'm sure I'm just missing something, but in the past this worked just fine. I typically play on my desktop, but occasionally have to take a trip and I copy my current save file from desktop over to my laptop and then play on it. When I come back, I copy it back to my desktop and all is good. Except this time. I copied it from desktop to laptop just fine, and it opened and I played on the laptop just fine. But now, the newest save file is nowhere to be found on the laptop. It still plays just fine on the laptop. I could copy the original save file back off the laptop but none of the auto saves or new save that show when I open the in game menu are actually on the laptop anywhere I can find. Win10 system. I'm guessing this is some kind of off local saving but where? Is there no way to get my game back on the desktop? I'm sure I'm missing something here and I will feel stupid when I hear the answer..... I was hoping there was some kind of Steam or Klei cloud save thing that I accidentally enabled. Denisetwin Posted February 11, 2019 Author Share Posted February 11, 2019 Okay I found it eventually by opening Steam, then the Steam Library, right click on Oxygen Not Included, select Properties, select browse local files and that put me in a folder that was not coming up in my searches despite my global settings being "show hidden folders and files". It's in program files (x86)>Steam>steamapps>common>oxygennotincluded>klei>oxygennotincluded>save_files hope this helps someone else.
