Stitched Map Generation

Currently the map in ONI is generated with fixed end points at either side of the map marked by neutronium. Instead of this method of map generation or boundaries, what if it was stitched together? Where you could start at the center of the map and travel to the right and end back where you started. This could pair well with larger maps.

This sounds pretty cool - surreal even. 

Would definitely make transport easier in some circumstances. And remove some of the inconvenience of the edge scroll binding - you would just  keep panning right or left and get back to the same x axis point.
