The Plum Gate
A refined carbon based catalytic generator: Part of the catalytics category? Made of refined material / metal. Pipe in oxygen, emits CO2, produces electricity via miracle catalysis.( Some random number loosely based in reality: ) Uses: 100g/s carbon 133.33g/s oxygen Produces: 233.33g/s carbon dioxide Heat + electricty ( make something up nice ) A hydrogen + oxygen based generator: part of renewables category. Made of refined material / metal. Pipe in Both Hydrogen and oxygen. Pipe out hot water or emit steam. I guess it would depend on the level of utility it provides. Uses: 10g/s hydrogen 160g/s oxygen Produces: 180g/s steam or hot water Heat + electricty ( make something up suitable here, this may be a smaller variant of generator in the sub 400 watt range ) Each has a reserve storage similar to the existing coal and hydrogen generators. Their saving grace - being made of refined materials and, depending on the numbers, no loss of substance. I've certainly botched these numbers somewhere or everywhere - feel free to chime in. Hydrogen is assumed to be H2. I'll revisit the numbers based on the production figures for the existing electrolysis/oxygen+hydrogen producer.
