Heat production of the power transformers

Recommended Posts

Currently the Power Transformer is producing 1000DTU/s no matter what. It would be great if the heat production would be related to the Watts which are pulled from the Transformer. 0W -> 0DTU/s , 1000W -> 1000DTU/s

This is my first post here so please correct me if I did something wrong.

Hi @Ace993 and welcome to the forums. You posted a suggestion in the suggestion forum, so you pass! Congrats. Players sometimes post in the wrong forum and that really bothers some here, haha.

I was thinking of something just like this not too long ago. Transformers generate a good amount of heat even if they are not outputting all that much power.

Some players have opted to place a disconnect upstream of the transformer to turn if off once a downstream battery is charged. This eliminates the heat generated by the transformer.

Thank you!

But unfortunately this does not really solve the problem. Last time I checked the smart battery produces 500DTU/s, this is an improvement but still a lot of heat and resources for nothing.
