Implement Color Coding of Buildings

Recommended Posts

In the picture you can see I'm trying to use the insulated pipes and normal pipes to indicate which lines will need filtration and will then carry hydrogen to the outside, and which pipes will carry oxygen upwards, but my organization breaks down because I can't color code the pipe bridges the same way.  Its extremely taxing and frustrating to try to build this system effectively with the current single color system.

If you could individually assign colors to specific buildings, it would make a large project like this way more enjoyable and easy to plan out.

Outlines to show pipe type - How do you think about this idea?

I’m trying to find a possible solution

Maybe different materials will get different color of buildings? Like sandstone will get yellow shade, igneous reddish etc?

insulated pipes can have double color (white outside and some color inside) and radiant pipes can be darker for example?

I could be beneficial if you would like to change particular pieces of your machinery to right metals when they get available for example.
