rirze
The following scenario has happened twice so far: Join a player-hosted server (a non-dedicated server). Leave server Can't find the name of host player in either DST player interaction history or Steam, under recently played with. So my question is: How do I find the name of the person who hosted the server after I've left? I find myself thinking I should friend them, but often forget how to exactly spell their name or their name is common. The important thing to note is, I can see the names of the other players who joined the server (i.e. did not host but played on the server, like myself). It's just the host's name that I can't see anywhere. Where do I find this information? Daniel86268
You can check out your client_log.txt and client_chat_log.txt. If it's been a while since you played, you might have to check inside the <DST_save_folder/backup> folder to find older entries. 1. The easiest would be if the host said anything while you were playing. Then he'll show up in the client_chat_log.txt file, and you got his ingame name. 2. If he never said anything, you can grab the name of the server you joined by searching for the line "[Connect] Server name:". It'll say the server name, which might help you track your server owner down, or at least find said server again, if he comes back online.
