Any way to make a custom pig house?

I have never made a mod before. I'm planning on trying to learn and eventually make a rather large mod, but I thought I would try something (small?) first and see how that goes. What I want to do is add a custom spawn in the world from a house, probably using the pig house as a template. So like having a grass creature house spawn grass creatures in a grass biome. If that makes sense. Not sure how to describe my thoughts. I'm a super noob. (:

You can probably do this, i'm not sure it's a basic thing, but it's possible. You have to copy and modify the pighouse prefab, then changing a few things. I suggest starting your test by just creating a copy, and see if it's working fine.

The way to add your house to the world depend of your purpose :

- do you want this house to be unique ? If yes, add a set piece.

- do you want to have multiple houses in your world ? then add it to a biome in worldgen.
