Error Opening Chest

I just purchased bolts of cloth because I saw that there was sales for almost everything in the shop. After doing so, when I try to purchase anything using my bolts, the game gives me an error saying "There was an error while opening your chest. Please log in again to refresh your account inventory" where it then proceeds to take me to the login screen. After attempting to purchase the items I wanted roughly 10 times, the result is always the same with the same error. Any way I can fix this?

Steps to Reproduce

After buying the 12,000 bolts of cloth pack, I attempted to buy anything on sale within the shop, and then get booted to the login screen. I've attempted to purchase items roughly 10 times with no success. Closing my game and going back in has done nothing to help.

Not sure if it’ll help or work, but make sure auto login is disabled and relaunch the game after disabling it.

 

if it’s already disabled, then I’m not sure what could be causing the issue.

Yeah I've checked the settings but it seems the devs have removed auto login entirely for the time being until they fix issues with it. So I'm not really sure what could be causing it either. Hopefully it gets figured out soon enough, but thank you for trying anyway.

@FoundIT Your game client thinks there is a sale active when there isn't right now, so our servers are rejecting your requests. This is due to your Date and Time being set to something other than the real time. Most likely you were probably playing Animal Crossing and had your clock set to another season. If you change the Date and Time on your Switch back to get the time off the network, then the Shop should start working for you. We've got a warning being added for this case coming in a future update, but it's not quite ready yet.
