When rejoining the sever, other people crash

  • Fixed

(This was done on PlayStation) Me and my friends were playing when one had to go for a bit. When he rejoined it caused everyone but the host to crash, any attempts to rejoin afterwards would cause more crashes. It seemed to fix when we rolled the sever back to before we entered the world and we’re still in the portal. But anytime someone tries to rejoin after that, it would start the issue all over again.

Steps to Reproduce

Load in the world

have someone join

(This part is different depending on who joined first)

(Me joining first):

after my friend would join, I would be kicked out the world but still be able to play for a bit before crashing. Anyone else that was able to join the world would also crash.

(My friends join first):

I would be able to join the world without crashing but if I rejoined the world it would cause everyone else but the host to crash.

User Feedback

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

After more testing, we believe this issue is being caused by Wurt in some way. Joining in a certain order allowed us to join the world. Winona seems to also cause this issue. During testing we noticed that if any of the reworked characters are chosen, it increases loading time.

I had this problem except the server was a wigfrid (host), wendy, webber, wortox (me). I left the world to go do something and when i joined back they got kicked out of the world.

Thanks for posting a good description of how to reproduce this, I hadn't been able to until now.
This will be fixed in the next update (2.99)
