Hi there..
Before the [2006000] update, there was a chance that some mobs could slip through when they were in large numbers. However, after the 'Year of the Clockwork' update, the Tingle Node behavior changed for some reason. Now, there is a much higher chance that mobs will pass through them, even when they are solo.
This behavior is particularly prevalent in caves: it appears that moving out of range will let the Tingle Node be unloaded, effectively disabling its collision and allowing mobs to pass through it easily.
I tested this with;
- Splumonkeys [Normal&Shadow]
- Frogs
- Batilisks
- Spiders
