Crash after choosing characters

Right after choosing the characters and click on “ option” on controller to start new world, the game crashes. Also when an exciting world is started. I already uninstalled and installed the game several times and reinstalling the PS , but it the error remains. 
This problem starting occurring after the most recent update.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Im also having this problem. Bought the game last night and every time I pick a character and press option to go into the world it crashes on me. I've tried redownloading multiple times and eveything is up to date on my ps4 and it still wont work. Any clue how to fix?

It doesn’t happen anymore when I choose another character like Handywomen. Perhaps it will work with you as well
