Can't see the shadow of the canopy

Not sure if its the same recently patched "graphical option" on pc, but I thought I'd make a report just in case.

The canopy of an above average tree isn't projecting a shadow on the floor, making it really hard to build under it.

Steps to Reproduce

Planted a knobbly seed as close as possible to a biome and the fully grown tree is not making a shadow.
