Any way to chat when two local join remote?

We've joined public servers and found that R2 only opens emotes.  Is there a way to chat otherwise we are missing?

Steps to Reproduce
Join two local players to a remote game.
Go to bugs

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Unfortunately the PlayStation virtual keyboard would prevent player 2 from being able to play while player 1 is typing (and vice versa) so we decided to disable it. A better solution for this is on our task list but I cannot give an ETA on when it will come in.

Voice chat still works though, hope that helps.

Maybe have an emote for split screen for now? At least that way people know that we are on split screen and can't chat. :confused:
