Decorative buildings found in POI cannot be deconstructed after inspecting.
I don't know if this was overlooked or if this was by design that proved to be wrong. Nevertheless, buildings in found in ruins that serve no purpose should be deconstructable the same way as any other building in the game. It makes no sense that duplicants who fly in space don't know how to deconstruct broken light bulb and it drives player crazy when they have this kind of garbage in the middle of their base and no way to do anything with it...
Most DLC reviews can be summared as "game is great, but please let us deconstruct ruins". Every week or two another "Deconstructable POI" thread on the forum appears complaining about inability to destroy those items. Before mod introduction to the DLC, most missed one was the one that allowed players to deconstruct POI things. Players seem to hate it and for good reason.
At this point I find it severe enough to open issue ticket. I agree that this it not as destructive as game crashes or world gen issues, but still - I believe KLEI should address the topic - especially it seems quite an easy thing to do.
Of course, items that provide any use for players (AETNs, Teleporters, Warpers etc) can and should remain undeconstructable, unless we had a way to rebuild them back (btw - rebuilding POI items would be nice, but this is surely out of the scope of this issue)
Thanks a lot!
1. Find POI ruins with unique items inside (light bulbs, computers, lockers, food containers, etc) and try to deconstruct them
2. Try not to cry
3. Cry a lot
