Rocket piloting skill not working, asteroids inaccessible when they shouldn't be

Ok, I'm going to hit two at once here. First, the rocket piloting skill, for some reason, is not allowing Ada and Ellie to fly their rockets even though they have the skill. However Gossman who is currently in space can use the rocket for some reason.

I would also like to retouch on a post I made earlier, the rocket rounding error, because it was a bit worse than I thought. Because not only can you not turn around in the rocket, you cannot go straight 4 tiles either.

This rocket, despite having two tiles of range, cannot achieve orbit, nor can it land, on that asteroid, making it completely inaccessible with the current rockets.

I even went into debug mode and placed a landing pad, and it still cannot land on the asteroid.

This is a game-ending bug, as three of my asteroids are inaccessible due to this issue, completely stopping mid-late game progression.

Steps to Reproduce

For the rocket piloting skill error, download the save file and attempt to launch the rocket. You will not be able to.

For the rounding error, attempt to fly either the rocket currently in space or the two on the ground to the frozen asteroid, you will not be able to, despite having enough range to.

I had an even better one.  Sent in pilot with rocketry and had same error message you show.  Then sent a dup (for trailblazer) without rocketry and then the condition was satisfied.  However, the rocketry dup was the one who deployed leaving the non-rocketry left on a rocket he could not pilot.  So doublely broken.

Lol that is so weird! I just hope they fix this before early access, as it completely stops the game. The rounding error makes going to any of the 3 small asteroids impossible as well. Better yet, I can’t work around it with debug mode.

I had the same problem as chemie.  I solved it by giving rocket piloting to my low demanding moral dupe sending him alone in a rocket with  trailblazer module deployed him and sent the rocket empty back! this also should be addressed as an exploit as well.
