Game crashes for no apparent reason

  • Branch: Live Branch Version: Windows Pending

Loading a previous save has no effect, as the crash occurs around the same cycle (either 1704 or 1705). Also disabled all mods to no avail.

I tried playing both locally and via GFN. Playing locally yields no prompt, but I've managed to capture the prompt screen while playing on GFN (was checking whether or not it's a hardware issue).

I was expecting this to be a hardware-related issue, so after several attempts I loaded one of the previous saves and queued a big sweep command, yet here we are.Crash.thumb.png.969f96b9ede7ba950de12ce70a2d3948.png

Steps to Reproduce

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Simply load the save and wait

User Feedback

There's something wrong with the zip file you uploaded, it fails to unzip and produces a zero-byte file. Could you reupload the save?

There seems to be some problem with the save file location:

The out of memory error you have could be related to this but can also be a problem with one of your many mods that are loaded. Your machine should have enough memory.

You could do a disk check and memory check to see if it's a problem with your hardware. Also check how much memory is free before you run the game, i sometimes have most of my memory already in use by a other application.

I don't know if it makes any difference, but the part of the log you pointed out refers to a different save than the one I uploaded. Is it possible that a different save file may corrupt another save?

I unsubscribed from all the mods, quit all background task like browser etc. and ran a fresh install of the game, however the problem still persists. I'll run the diskcheck and memory check to see if it gives any problems.

Edit: I also managed to extract the text version of the crash reason I provided on the screenshot:

Ok, so I played for several cycles now and it seems the problem was related to the amount of water in my infinite storage. I cut the input pipes so no water gets in and it seems to have done the job.

Thank you for all the help, I’ll run the checks anyway just in case. Have a wonderful weekend!
