Game crash on rotten/frozen food?

I have a save with ~500+ cycles played, and now I can't continue playing anymore because the game crashes with the following stacktrace:

It first showed up on monday, 15th - and neither the the patch on 16th nor 18th november fixed it :(

I have a bunch of mods enabled, but nothing related to food - and since none were updated this week, I don't suspect mods are related to the crash.

Please let me know if you need further information and I'll happily provide :)


Steps to Reproduce

Game crashes a few seconds into the save game with the latest preview branch - no interaction required.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Hey Lords of the Duplicants,
I have a save with ~2600+ cycles played and after last update also have the same crash :( I have no other mods . My OS is OSX Monterey. I'm also really looking forward to the fix for this.

Changed Status to Fixed

This will be fixed in the next update. In the meantime, the cause of the crash is food going rotten in a rocket. If you can remove the food from the rocket before it goes bad, you should be able to avoid the crash.

Interestingly, I only store Berry Sludge in my rockets - which cannot rot. So I think the cause might be something different?

The "bunch of mods enabled" doesn't let the save load to properly check but do you happen to transport food to the tree? I think that also can produce that bug if the food rots while in transport

Oh yes, thanks for the hint!

I think it's actually a bit of liceloaf in a interplanetary payload that is at 0% freshness.

So nothing I can do but to wait for the patch I guess :)
