Flydo stuck in Idle, "Flydo cannot complete chore", won't even pick up power bank despite Low Battery

Build U55-661174-SCR, Epic, Windows

First off, this looks very similar to another bug (https://forums.kleientertainment.com/klei-bug-tracker/oni_so/flydo-becomes-idle-tasks-get-message-flydo-cannot-complete-chore-r47789/) but since that one was marked as fixed three updates ago I'm going to assume this is a different problem.

There's a Flydo inside a completely locked room. It has access to a new power bank and is low on power. But instead of picking up the new power bank it idles and shows the single errand "Repair Supply" with the status "Flydo cannot complete chore. As far as I can tell there isn't even anything to repair on the whole planet, much less in an area the Flydo has access to. There are broken solar panels on a different planet though, maybe that is part of the problem?

BUG Flydo cannot complete chore1.sav

Steps to Reproduce

Load the save file and watch the Flydo run out of power even though a charged power bank is in reach.

User Feedback

Flydos don’t recharge themselves. They need either another flydo, a duplicant, or an auto sweeper to supply the power bank.

I also don’t see any valid power banks in that room?

Interesting. Thank you for the heads up. Since there is no in-game information about the flydo I looked at the wiki which states "When reaching a low battery (around 24%), it'll eat another power bank by itself if it has access to, allowing it to switch on this new one when the previous one gets depleted." Apparently this is simply false?

There is one in the storage tile under the water sieve. I just realized the forum reduced the size of the screenshot I uploaded, making it quite hard to see.

That storage tile isn’t accessible to flydo, as they can only pick things up from above. It also looks like an atomic power bank but that could be the colors being washed

The flying robot that would be ideal for reaching things in the ceiling... can only access things from above. That is quite disappointing. :D Thanks for the explanation though. Oh and it is an eco power bank btw.

Thank you for the mod! I tried it and it seemed(!) like the flydo recharged itself, with a power bank from a newly installed storage tile in the bottom of the room. I was quite happy but then I reloaded the save file from 10 seconds before and this time the flydo ignored that same power bank and eventually dropped to the ground without power. I reloaded a third time, slowed things down and this time I saw it was actually the auto sweeper in the center of the room that took the power bank and put it into the flydo.
It seems there is still something wonky going on with my save file. For that reason I'm not going to open a github issue for "Control your Robots". Thanks for trying to help!

To the good folks at Klei

With all the confusion about what the Flydo can and can not do, may I humbly ask Klei to put an official description of its abilities and limitations into the in-game database or at least some other official place? It really is beyond frustrating to piece together what the Flydo even should be able to do. When things are so confusing that even the wiki has false information I think there is a real need for an authoritative statement. If only to save yourself the trouble of further bug reports due to misunderstandings and misinformation.
