I hope I am not just blind, but I cannot start a game. I also do see some graphic issues like overlapping graphic elements.
I can start the game, and choose "New game". For both modes (survival and no sweat) I can go back and forth between the two available asteroids, and I can click on the re-roll world seed button (coordinates do re-roll), but there seems to be no way to start the game from there.
Additionally, when I use "quit" to get out of the game, steam keeps thinking that ONI is still running (no indication of it when I look through the "processes" in the task master). I have to kill steam altogether to make it stop showing ONI as "running".
Thank you for your help! ONI rocks, and I would love to try out the DLC! 
Launch game
Start "New game"
Pick either Survival or No Sweat mode
Click on either asteroid. No way to start the colony from there.
