Have bleachstone and slime sitting on the same tile covered in Polluted Water. Somehow, either the bleachstone or the slime offgasses under water, which is supposed to be impossible, and I've never seen happen befor. When the offgassing occurs, it spews a bubble of polluted oxygen filled with slimelung! It's sooooo frustrating as I think I'm doing everything I can to prevent slimelung from offgassing!
Also, this is my favorite game by leaps and bounds! Love every minute spent playing this game! and thank you for looking into this issue.
Mining out a Slime Biome at the bottom of the map, just above the Oil Biome. I'm mining so as to prevent slime offgassing and spreading slimelung in the polluted oxygen. I believe my method of containing the slimelung in polluted water is working as it has worked in the other three slime biomes I've mined out so far in this playthrough. However, slimelung offgasses anyways.
Start the save and watch at the very bottom of the firepole and ladder right above the oil biome. The dupes are building a row of insulated tiles made with Igneous Rock immediately adjacent to the left. Within a few minutes of starting the save, somehow either the bleachstone or slime offgasses and relases a bubble of polluted oxygen contaminated with slimelung.
As I understand the mechanics of ONI, this should not happen as both the bleachstone and slime are not supposed to offgas when covered by a liquid.
EDIT: I restarted the game, thinking that might help, but it still offgassed. I also cancelled the insulated tile construction jobs to the left and started doing them one-by-one. As I'm watching the dupes build it, I saw and captured the bleachstone offgassing, but the slime was not. When the bubble came up, it was polluted oxygen and not chlorine, and was full of slimelung to boot. Of note: the tile the bleachstone is in is filled with saltwater, surrounding tiles full of polluted oxygen.
