AtmoSuit Checkpoint ignoring bug

I catched my duplicants without atmosuits in zones of my base they should be able to reach only through atmo checkpoints, but this time I managed to witness the misbehavior.

Rego_Pilot just came out of the base (figure attached) through the working, swithed on checkpoint. He started the animation at the checkpoint to get up a suit, however did not finish it, did not get a suit up, but still exited. I had to save several of my dupes from places they should not go without a suit because of this bug.
