Summary:
The Demolior event seems to be causing inconsistent and unexpected Duplicant behavior after impact. Depending on the colony setup, teleportations occur randomly, or not at all, sometimes leaving survivors in strange places — or nowhere.
Scenario 1 – One Duplicant gets isekai’d
-
Setup: All Duplicants were inside the base at the time of the Demolior crash.
-
Expected Result: Everyone should have perished in glorious chaos.
-
Actual Result: All Duplicants died except one, who mysteriously teleported to the oceanic asteroid and continued life as if nothing happened.
-
Note: There was no teleportation building or portal active. It happened instantly post-impact.
Scenario 2 – Magma tourism & front-row seats
-
Setup: One Duplicant was outside the base, others were safely inside.
-
Expected Result: Death and/or drama.
-
Actual Result:
-
One Duplicant was teleported directly into a magma biome (lava bath, anyone?).
-
Another stood calmly watching the asteroid crash from just a few tiles away.
-
The rest remained inside, seemingly unaffected until… they weren’t.
-
Scenario 3 – Total colony wipe, no teleportation
-
Setup: All Duplicants were safely inside buildings.
-
Expected Result: At least one teleportation survivor like previous scenarios.
-
Actual Result: The entire colony died, with no Duplicants teleported.
-
Inconsistency: Compared to previous runs, this behavior feels inconsistent and unpredictable.
