Wonky liquid physics

In this image, you can see a 30 gram quantity of water holding back a tidal wave of crude oil. It was originally a thin layer atop the left oil, so I breached a compressed pocket to the right and I expected the crude oil on the right to smother the water but it seems it was not to be.

Steps to Reproduce
Create a layer of crude oil. Drop a few kilos of water on top and let it spread out. Then unleash a tidal wave of oil from the side and watch weirdness happen.

User Feedback

I'm just another player, but I don't believe there was any implementation that liquids could have physical effects on one another, the same way a pocket of air could create a "Moses split the seas" scenario, which HAS happened in previous worlds of mine. I think they're holding off on that cause it would take a LOT of coding and would probably ramp up the memory the game takes up with all the liquids and gases having to be checked and rechecked in all the observable tiles every game minute that passes.
