Once a dupe starts eating a vitamin chew and is interrupted for whatever reason the vitamin chew ends up half in a tile, in which it is unable to be used until a save is loaded. Attached is a picture how it looks like in game when the chew is touched but not finished (right side chews, the left side chew is untouched as of yet).
Steps to Reproduce
Build an apothecary preferable in an area where the air is unbreathable => Make several chews => Wait until a dupe eats one and doesn't finish it => behold and admire the uneatable chew!
