Unknown tiles that you can't uncover or do anything with

Same here, playing since yesterday. above my base there is this spot. 

 

There is a solution in the comments here.
However, I think it is a bug that this unknown area is generated.

patch update released today includes a bugfix for this. haven't gone in to the update yet to verify, but i'm sure this is now resolved

ran into the same issue today but on no tile

As far as I read the update, it's probably just a modification of the template used to generate the world.
In other words, the fix for the unknown area of the problem will not be applied to the existing stored data, but will be reflected from the new world.

This bug is still present ever for now.

I've got one right at eye level on a base expansion.

Still there, Space Out:
