Unable to start a new save

As said, whenever i try to start a  new game it just silently sends me back to the main menu screen. I use the Epic Games launcher, I've tried reinstalling the game multiple times, verifying files and restarting my pc, but nothing works.

Idk, just start a game i guess.

Dropbox is interfering with the game. The game creates files such as WorldGenSimSave0.dat when starting a new save. You can try selectively opting out of using Dropbox to sync your Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded folder.
