Unable to load Game

I was part of the Closed alpha of the Spaced out. When it ended and I tried to load my colony from the base game, It wouldn't even let me go further than the main title screen. I clicked load and it crashed. (Edit: I found someone else with the same error. disregard this. But f you have the same error, read the comment)

 

Steps to Reproduce

Make a colony in the Base game. Get into the Alpha (Not sure if it works with the early acess dlc because I do not have it) and start a colony. Make sure cloud saves are on. Disable/Do Whatever happened when the DLC was revoked from me when the closed alpha ended and load up the game. Click load and BOOM.

For anyone else experiencing this issue:

It seems that some old files from the DLC are getting stuck in the install folder. Some things to try:

  • Right-click ONI -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse local files .... go into the OxygenNotIncluded_Data folder and delete StreamingAssets, then Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files
  • Uninstall and reinstall the game through steam
  • Browse to the local files as above, uninstall the game, after uninstall finishes delete any files that are left over in the SteamApps/common/OxygenNotIncluded folder, and then reinstall.

Please be careful when deleting files on your hard drive!

@zeptomonkey I believe on OSX you have to delete the entire app.

Right-click/two-finger click on Oxygen Not Included in the steam library, Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files. It should open a folder with nothing but the OxygenNotIncluded app in it (as in the below screenshot). Delete that and reinstall from Steam.
