Robo Miner not mining through open doors

Can we have a developer to actually look at this (or at least acknowledge this issue...) as far as I can see it was reported over half a year ago in this post as well and it's STILL not being looked at: 

 

This is a pretty significant problem with this building imo; most of the applications for the Robo miner involve using them in a superheated environment... Putting them into an the same environment as volcanos for example is the only way to keep the igneous rock from building up and screwing up your entire heat collection system. In the current configuration your options are either to have them perform their tasks in a vacuum and slowly build up their own heat, or dump them in 1000C+ gas and watch them insta-fry.... 

 

Given that the auto-sweepers work just fine through doors, this is clearly not an intended feature.
