Refrigerators lower the tempature of food food even when unpowered or disconnected from power

The food inside says it's 4c, but it doesn't actually cause the food to rot slower unless the fridge is powered.

Steps to Reproduce
Build a refrigerator. Don't connect it to any power source. Put food in it. Observe that the temperature of the food drops.

User Feedback

Well, there is something fishy with refrigerators, since mine contains food at 24°C (even though it's powered since a long time, and the food is here since a while), and other food at 4°C, but neither seems to be rotting very fast
