Pips attempt and fail to plant seeds when drywall and insulated tiles are involved

When all known requirements for wild planting are met, a pip will change its status to "Planting Seed" and walk to the seed. Before grabbing the seed, it will freeze for a split second, the "Planting Seed" status will become gray, then disappear, and then the status will again appear as "Idle." This sequence repeats periodically—approximately three times a cycle.

Steps to Reproduce

The room used in Sandbox testing looks like this:

  O O

- tile, O - room filled with O2, P - tile suitable for wild planting.

Upon building all the testing rooms, I spawned a single pip and a single Bliss Burst seed in the left empty tile of each room. I don't know what other factors may be involved (there was ample empty space between rooms, and I used the Pip Planting Overlay mod to double-check), but here is what I found while testing:

  • Normal/insulated tiles. No drywall added or removed anywhere. The pip plants normally.
  • Normal tile walls. Drywall added above P. Plants.
  • Insulated tile walls. Drywall added above P. The pip won't plant.
  • Normal tile walls. Drywall added above P, then removed. Plants.
  • Insulated tile walls. Drywall added above P, then removed. Won't plant.

The only two mods I have installed are Pip Plant Overlay and Build Over Plants.

User Feedback

Disabled the Build Over Plants mod.

Both rooms: igneous rock tiles, 5kg glass tile, 2000g/tile of O2 inside at 11°C.

Room on the left: wood drywall above the glass tile.

Room on the right: wood drywall created above the glass tile, then deleted with Destroy tool.
