Permanent crash on "Start new game".

  • Branch: Live Branch Fixed

This message is the third attempt to get a response from the developers!!!

The game "Oxygen Not Included" was installed via steam.

System Settings:

Win7 64bit / Core i3 / 8GB RAM / GeForce gtx 670

Every time when i try to start new game, I get this message:

"Your computer does not have VC++ 2015 64 bit runtime installed."

But, Visual C ++ (32 and 64 bit version) already installed.

Reinstallation VC++ 2015 64 bit - does not help.

Reinstallation game - does not help.

Restarting the PC - does not help.

In the logs, I see a message about the missing file "SimDLL.dll".
But this file is actually in the places indicated in the logs.

Steps to Reproduce
Just start a new game!

Hi, Cheerio!

Thanks for you answer.
 - does not help.

All over games installed via stem works good as before.

I'm still waiting for a solution to my problem.

I hope this bug will be fixed soon.

Not sure how helpful this is to the developers, but looking into SimDLL as mentioned above, I deleted the file and tried to play again. Turns out I could get past the VC++ error, but it consistently freezes at 51.8%, which I'm guessing is where SimDLL is used. Anyway, looking forward to your feedback.
