I had my Dupes digging to get to Weezeworts and the Snow tile when it fell got stuck and my Dupes couldn't complete the task, so I had to cancel it. The snow's falling animation kept going. I tried to see if it would stay that way after loading a save, but the snow finally dropped after unpausing. I'll toss in the save just in case.
