Met with "Blackhole" screen on launch, even when I just played the game yesterday

I just played the game yesterday, when i launch the game again today, the game had crash on the startup screen with the error "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" 

i tried to resolve it by following previous similar crash error, but I can't pinpoint on where the solution is (since the previous error happened on Windows and I'm using MacOS)

I also attached the crash "Blackhole" screen together with my player log

Steps to Reproduce

I just launched the game today, and it crashed, with the "blackhole" screen appearing. The game launched as usual with the Klei logo screen, and just crash all of a sudden. 

Things that I have tried:

1. verify files integrity

2. reinstalling the game

3. delete all local files and reinstalling the game

4. delete download cache 

5. restart my mac

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Looks like Mac OS added a number of extra files. If you delete these it should work. I'll look into fixing this so it skips files starting with ._ in a future update. These files might be created due to the file system the game is installed on.

Changed Status to Fixed

Looks like there are more files in other directories starting with ._ that need to be cleaned up. Instead I recommend reinstalling the game on a different drive formatted with a native Mac filesystem.

Your portable SSD is using a Windows filesystem and Mac OS creates these extra files.

The next update will include a change to ignore these files.
