It's been like this for a while until I noticed it. A few grams of water at the bottom right corner keeps the pump busy indefinitely as it does not spread on the floor to get pumped.
Steps to Reproduce
Put a pump in a puddle of water in a way similar to how it is displayed on provided pictures.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
