Liquid distortion looks a bit more distorted than needed

The distortion in water looks like it makes vertical stripes to the things inside it

Much like the ones gases do when pressure is changing because of liquid droplets

or when different high pressure gases meet

But there is no difference in pressure or different element in liquid hydrogen's case
