Lavatory working without output pipe

So I have a lavatory in the med bay that I'm currently building and while I have put a liquid pipe onto the output, I haven't connected it to a liquid vent. Despite this, I've seen two dupes use the lavatory.

Steps to Reproduce
I'm gonna guess that this is either caused by the Med Bay or by placing a single liquid pipe on the output and not connecting it to anything.

Yeah this is happening with me as well with the oil update.  The Lavatory isn't registering to use any water.  It doesn't consume nor produce any polluted water

Same here. I noticed this in one of my oil games. Couldn't figure out why I wasn't generating any polluted water, but dups were definitely using the lavatory.
