late game dupes are barely functional

In my current colony (Cycle 1325 and counting) my dupes are performing tasks in the least efficient way imaginable.  They'll build a pipe at a remote project location one tile at a time before running off to do something of a lower priority.  They'll store food away a few hundred micro grams at a time despite having a Strength of 7.  They'll repeatedly deliver 0 pincha peppers to the electric grill.   It's becoming very difficult to get anything done with excessive micromanagement.

 

Edit: It seems food delivery is always 261.1 mg regardless of which dupe is delivering the food and what the source and destination of the food is.
