Lack of early game (pre-steel) metal to increase overheat temp in maps without slime biome

Gold amalgam allows the player to increase the overheat temp of pumps enough to pump hot water.  On maps without gold amalgam the only option I can find is steel.  I would suggest aluminum increasing the overheat temp.
