Korean Translation Issue (Not applied after updates)

  • Branch: Live Branch Version: Windows Fixed

Dear Development Team,

I am writing to report an issue regarding the Korean language translation that I previously requested.

Although I have noticed in the last two update logs that the Korean translation was supposedly added/updated, the changes do not seem to be appearing in the game. I have checked the settings, but the game is still not displaying in Korean.

Could you please look into whether the translation was correctly applied to the live build?

I look forward to your response.

Steps to Reproduce

Thank you.

User Feedback

Please attach your Player.log file. Are you unable to load the Korean translation or are you referring to your feedback not being reflected?

Most of your feedback from your previous bug report has been implemented. I tested some of them in the game such as the updated Electric Grill description and Hydrated effect. I noticed an issue with the "Plant" button which will be corrected in a future update. This was tested on U57-704096.

Hello,

I’ve just realized that many of the issues have already been addressed. I apologize for the confusion; I think I made a mistake because I was primarily focused on the specific parts I was most eager to see changed.

Those were items #4 and #5 from my previous notes:

4. Farm Tile, Hydroponic Farm, Planter Box, Hanging Pot, & Aero Pot - “Plant” Button

  • Current: “식물” (Noun: a plant)

  • Suggested: “심기” (Verb: to plant)

  • Note: I’m glad to hear this will be applied in the next update.

5. Pipe, Lavatory, & Sink Status - "Empty" state

  • Current: “비우기” (Action: emptying)

  • Suggested: “비어있음” (State: empty)

  • Note: Please keep “비우기” only for the "Empty Storage" action. This logic applies equally to the status displays of Lavatories and Sinks.

Regarding item #5, I have observed for a long time that many players find the current wording quite confusing. I would truly appreciate it if you could apply "비어있음" to clarify the status.

Additionally, I’d like to follow up on two other suggestions. While these aren't critical bugs, the current terms cause confusion because they overlap with common abbreviations used in the Korean player community. Do you have any plans to address these?

  • Suggestion A: Gunk

    • Current: “오물” (Meaning: sludge/waste)

    • The Issue: In the Korean community, “오물” is the most common abbreviation for Polluted Water (오염된 물). Having "Gunk" named the same thing causes unnecessary confusion during gameplay discussions.

    • Suggested: “폐유” (Meaning: waste oil)

  • Suggestion B: Peat

    • Current: “이탄” (Meaning: peat)

    • The Issue: The term “이탄” is also used as a common shorthand for Carbon Dioxide (이산화탄소).

    • Suggested: “토탄” (Meaning: peat - a clearer synonym)

To be honest, a lot of time has passed, so most veteran players have become accustomed to these terms by now. That’s why I have mixed feelings about requesting a change at this stage. However, I still believe these adjustments would greatly improve clarity, especially for new players.

Thank you for your hard work and for taking the time to look into this.

One more thing I'd like to add regarding the machine names:

Currently, the "Emulsifier" is translated as "유화제," but this refers to the emulsifying agent (the substance itself). Since this is a piece of machinery, it should be changed to "유화기" (the machine/device) to be more accurate.

I would appreciate it if you could look into this as well. Thank you!

Changed Status to Fixed

The "Empty" translation should also be fixed in the next update too, along with "Plant". We decided to keep the current translations for Gunk and Peat after discussing it. I've also passed on your feedback regarding the Emulsifier. Thanks for the feedback.
