Gas Flows through unbuilt pipe

I set up a gas pipe to pipe chlorine through an AC, then later disabled the AC b/c I did not have enough power. When I realized this also cut off the gas flow, I added piped to reroute the chlorine around the disabled AC unit, but the gas immediately began to flow through the unbuilt pipes as soon as I placed them. The pipes I was using were insulated pipes up to the gas filter, where I switched to normal pipes.

Steps to Reproduce
I think I described the problem as best I can in the description.

User Feedback

this is a parallel pipe/wire build bug - since they're both side by side, you tell them to build the link between two existing pipes, there's nothing to build, the connection just happens to be between two tiles right next to each other. so the blueprint is a formality.

The same thing can be done with parallel wires. Simply telling the sim you want them connected connects them without dupe intervention since the tiles are right next to each other. Usually I don't see the blueprint when this happens, so that's kind of new to me.
