Games crashes randomly and frequently after every few cycles

Since 2 days ONI crashes frequently, with increasing frequency, out of the blue without showing any "crash note".

I have one game, that I can't even load anymore - no matter which savegame I use. I tested with a new game and it crashed randomly during cycle 5.
The previews of the savegames are showing only black - no colony screenshot.

I could find files for these games with the ending ".json" in the folder "retired colonies". Does this mean anything? Or do those exist for every started game (looks a bit like such).

I use both DCLs, but no mods.
I play ONI on a daily basis and it ran stabile until recently. I played offline for the last week (PC without internet access) and no updates were made between the point when the game was still running smootly and the crashes occured.

Thank you for your help!

Nicola

Your log indicates that your computer is out of memory. You might have disabled virtual memory, which could cause the game to crash especially if other programs are running. It's surprising that a 5 cycle save is crashing though. Check to make sure virtual memory is enabled (8,000 MB or more) and let me know if you encounter the crash again.

Retired colonies is loaded when you open the Colony Summary screen, it shouldn't be related to this issue.

I checked my virtual memory and it is set to >24,000 MB.

Or am I looking at the wrong thing? I'm a complete noob, when it comes to computer settings...

And, no other games are crashing atm. And that would be the case if something was off with my PC settings, wouldn't it?

Since you mention the black screenshot it might be related to the timelapse screenshots. Try disabling the timelapse (pause menu -> Options -> Game -> Timelapse resolution and let me know if you still experience a crash. This setting is per-save file and your saves are set to the default size.

Hi,
I deinstalled and reinstalled the game following the idea of "have you turned it off and on again".

Well, 150 cycles later the game seems to run stable, now, as I haven't experienced any crashes since them. And I was using the savegame, where I experienced the crashes first.
