After being force-fed the most recent update, which I didn't want to because of the bug I submitted an hour ago (that bug was found on another computer), the game does not even start anymore. After being stuck on the KLEI screen for a few minutes, it just closes again. For about a minute it uses 100% CPU, then it doesn't do anything anymore that I can see (cpu, disk or network), and finally it closes.
I just noticed a folder `/tmp/logs` in which there is a file containing:
Thu Aug 16 19:29:33 2018 GMT: file ''/tmp/dumps/assert_20180816212929_22.dmp'', upload yes: ''CrashID=bp-e6837539-2271-4d9e-a655-a4fa42180816''
Thu Aug 16 19:31:57 2018 GMT: file ''/tmp/dumps/crash_20180816213155_2.dmp'', upload yes: ''Discarded=1''
Thu Aug 16 19:32:53 2018 GMT: file ''/tmp/dumps/crash_20180816213251_2.dmp'', upload yes: ''Discarded=1''
Thu Aug 16 19:33:46 2018 GMT: file ''/tmp/dumps/crash_20180816213343_2.dmp'', upload yes: ''Discarded=1''
So it seems the crashes are being uploaded? What do these files contain? It's some binary format, but `strings` shows that they contain personally identifiable information. GDPR would not approve...
I can't find whether the game logs anything to stdout or stderr because of the Steam integration: whatever binary I try to launch from the terminal, it always detaches from the terminal. The log files mentioned below (in .config/unity3d/Klei) also don't contain any error messages.
