Game crashes after pressing new game button

Could you please try manually installing the VC++ 2015 runtime?

After hour of trying to fix issues with the vc++2015, I managed to get the game up and running. Thanks for your help.

Do you know what finally fixed it for you? We had a machine at work that had the same problem and I just kept running Windows update and uninstalling/re-installing the runtime but I'm not sure what caused it to finally work.

The issue I had was regarding some windows updates. So I manually installed them and that seemed to work. The updated that solved my issue was KB2919355 (solution found on a steam forum post https://steamcommunity.com/app/211820/discussions/0/527273452879588798/)
