Game Cannot Install

So I bought this game as a means of cheering up after a really bad week (Family dog passed away, my good PC broke & can't afford replacing it, etc, etc, etc. I mention this as such events may have caused me to miss something.) but when I went to install it through Steam, the Install button was missing. I tried right clicking and selecting "Install" in the drop down menu, but it gave me this message saying it couldn't support my platform or something of the like.

I tried to research the issue and came up with info saying that a 32-bit can't run Oxygen Not Included, but I'm relatively sure (Though not entirely as this was a hand me down from a friend to replace my broken PC) this is a 64-bit. I did check with a System Requirement Program that I could run it (It said I meet minimum requirements) and have been trying to contact my friend to ask him about it, but I've had no luck getting a hold of him.

Again, I could be entirely missing something here, but I've never had a problem with my other Klei games (DS With RoG & SW, and DST) on this PC, so is it possible there's something else causing this issue?

Kind Regards,

Steps to Reproduce
As mentioned above, I went to install it through Steam, the Install button was missing. I tried right clicking and selecting "Install" in the drop down menu, but it gave me this message saying it couldn't support my platform or something of the like. I'm sorry I can't give any better information than that.

My condolences on your loss. :(

This sounds like it could indeed be an issue with a 32-bit OS, or it could be that a driver update is needed.

Can we please get you to post the DXDIAG file for your computer so we can look at it?

You'll find steps at: http://support.kleientertainment.com/customer/portal/articles/2503104

Thank you!

Well, it would seem that despite my being told it was a 64-bit, it was indeed a 32-bit, and now it's too late to return it for something I can play...darn. Moral of the story is 'Don't trust what your friends say at face value.' My apologies for wasting your time, Wade and anyone else who read this thread. I'm more than a little embarrassed now....
