Unless that your plants had hight priority and the Frarmer only job is set to Farm , this one don't do any irrigation or fertilization.
The priorities are a mess in the game , becouse if you set all priorities 5 and algea oxidizer to 9 and still the suppliers don't got the Algea and carry on.
Builders also Supply materials, when the supply box is unchecked , same for all other jobs.
